Long Pond Boat Ramp

This is a popular launching spot that will surely have boat and trailer traffic. Limited parking. Be sure not to park in trailer spots if you don’t have a trailer. Good access to North and South Long Pond.

Great Pond Boat Ramp

Also a popular spot for power boat traffic. Limited parking. Bathroom facility. Easy access to Great Pond. Not a great launch site when wind is blowing from the North.


Messalonskee Small Boat Launch - South

Shallow water launch site with direct access to Messalonskee Lake. To access Messalonskee Stream, paddle through the marshy area and go left under the Route 27 bridge. No bathroom facilities.

Messalonskee Boat Ramp - North

Access Messalonskee Lake from the North end via Oakland Waterfront Park off of Belgrade Ave in Oakland. Parking.


North Pond Boat Launch

Access North Pond from this launch in Smithfield. Street parking. Paddle south about 1/3 mile through the marsh to reach the pond.

McGrath Pond Launch

Good launch off of McGrath Pond road in Oakland. Good parking and launch is located in Pleasant Point Park.


East Pond Launch

Good lake access off of East Pond Road. Readying area and parking.

Flying Pond Launch

Direct access to Flying Pond off of Pond Road in Mount Vernon. Limited street parking. No bathroom facilities.


Parker Pond Launch

Easy access to Parker Pond on Tower Rd in Vienna. Limited street parking. No bathroom facilities.

Echo Lake Boat Launch

Large boat ramp on the Northern end of Echo Lake. Parking. On Pond Road in Mount Vernon near the Smokestack.


Torsey Lake Launch

Street parking. Access to Torsey Lake on the South end. Off of Old Kents Hill Road in Readfield.

Sandy River Launch

Nice boat launch for canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. Good parking, no restrooms. Direct access to 6+ miles of flat water paddling on the Sandy River with little current in summer months.
